XenServer 帶來更多驚喜 密切留意 Citrix Synergy 2016Get Ready, Get Set, Get XenServer!
Citrix Synergy 2016 is almost upon us and it’s shaping up to be a product-rich, session-filled, demo-busting event!
The XenServer team has plenty in store for you. Whether you have your flights and hotel already booked, your itinerary planned or you’re just in the planning phase, you probably have lots of questions about Synergy and what to expect. But rest assured the XenServer team will be there in Las Vegas to help answer these questions and many more:
- What are the latest enhancements to XenServer I am going to hear about and what will they do for my business?
- I am looking to deploy XenApp and/or XenDesktop; should I consider XenServer to power my graphical-intensive workloads?
- How is Citrix going to help me tackle rising VMware ELA costs and prevent them from limiting my 2016 business growth?
- How can Citrix help me secure and protect my virtual datacenter infrastructure?
- People talk about containers, but I use virtual machines; do I have to choose between them, and what do they mean for my business?
This year will see a growing presence for XenServer in many areas of the event. There are breakout sessions, a learning lab session, Tech Talks being held on the Intel stand in the expo hall, and plenty of demos at the Citrix pod #6 and partner booths all within in the expo hall.
SYN103 Are your VMware ELA costs spiraling out of control and limiting your business growth? Learn what’s new with XenServer?
Tuesday, May 24th at 17:00-17:45, Murano 3301A
During this technical introduction session, you will get the latest information about XenServer, who uses XenServer and for what use cases, and why so many businesses are now deploying XenServer for their XenApp and XenDesktop deployments. You might think you know XenServer, but trust me, it’s a whole lot different than when you last looked at it!
SYN208 Powering your enhanced HDX 3D applications whilst increasing virtualization infrastructure density with Intel & NVIDIA GPUs.
Tuesday, May 24th at 14:00-14:45, Bellini 2104
If you’ve deployed XenApp or XenDesktop, the chances are that you’ve had to consider how – or if – you handled enhanced graphical applications. With differing application requirements, GPU vendors, each with different performance and scalability characteristics, what and who should you choose? During this session, David Cottingham and Derek Thorslund will guide you on ensuring an enhanced experience for your users in these deployments, maintaining stunning performance with reduced infrastructure costs.
SYN209 Delivering applications securely: How can the hypervisor Help?
Thursday, May 26th at 10:30-11:15, Murano 3204
Modern business compliance regulations dictate that application information be securely delivered, often with significant penalties for lack of adherence. This extends to the datacenter and hypervisor layers running within them, so just what security role can XenServer play?
Rob Dobson and Tim Mackey will take you through the latest hypervisor-level enhancements than can improve your application’s security, without impacting or modifying your them.
SYN210 Containers or Virtual Machines? It’s not necessarily one or the other; get the best of both worlds!
Thursday, May 26th at 09:30-10:15, Lido 3104
Most of us have heard the buzz about new virtual container technology and businesses are trying to figure out how it fits. Should they stay with VMs, or move to Docker containers?
In this session, led by James Bulpin and Chiradeep Vittal, you’ll gain an understanding of not just the mechanical differences between the two technologies, but the shift in responsibilities between Operations and Developers, and how Citrix is bridging the gap with new tools and features to address businesses’ concerns.
SYN606 Citrix Learning Labs: “XenServer Administration Workshop for XenApp or XenDesktop Infrastructures”
Monday, May 23rd at 08:00-11:00, Casanova 601
This is a three-hour, technical (intermediate) hands-on lab session with limited space available. It’s being hosted by 13-year Citrix veteran, XenServer guru, Tim Mackey, and assisted by yours truly. A recommended prerequisite is to have a good foundation in XenServer administration; Tim and I will cover why XenServer is now faster, more scalable and more relevant to your XenApp and XenDesktop infrastructures than ever before.
In this session, you will learn some of the important considerations required when designing and implementing virtual application and desktop infrastructures. This will cover everything from networking to storage, management and virtualized graphics.
Intel Tech Talk: “How deploying XenServer and Intel technologies will increase value to your app & desktop virtualization projects”
Wednesday, May 25th at 13:00 at the Intel booth in the Expo Hall
David Cottingham will talk about the latest developments from XenServer and Intel on enhanced virtualized graphics, and why the combination should be on every CTO’s consideration list for virtualized application and desktop infrastructure deployments. This session is followed by 30 minutes for you to ’ask the expert’ with all those difficult graphics related questions.
Intel Tech Talk: “How XenServer leverages Intel technology to deliver secure infrastructure”
Wednesday, May 25th at 12:00 at the Intel booth in the Expo Hall
Hear from Tim Mackey on how XenServer integrates with modern Intel processors to leverage security-specific extensions to deliver secure datacenter infrastructures. How can TXT, EPT, SMAP and PML affect how you deploy your virtual infrastructures? This session is followed by 30 minutes of ’ask the expert’.
If you can’t make it to any of the sessions, check out the Citrix booth #6 in the expo hall, where you will be able to get your deepest XenServer questions answered, and see some of the latest product demos.
We look forward to welcoming you at Citrix Synergy 2016! Until then, learn more about XenServer here and follow us on Twitter @xenserver
